What is it? Hot on the heels of a refresh for 2017 — exterior look, interior style and a new hybrid model — comes the Nissan Rogue: Rogue One Star Wars Limited Edition. In keeping with the futuristic theme, the Rogue will arrive with more safety technology, including forward emergency braking with pedestrian detection. At the press conference the Intelligent Safety Shield was used to dodge everything from the dark side’s missiles to humanoids.
Why does it matter? In conjunction with Lucasfilm and the first-ever stand alone Star Wars story, Nissan showed a numbered, limited-edition, full-sized-replica Death Trooper helmet that comes with purchase of a Star Wars Rogue. There will be a total of 5,400 units for North America, with 400 being allotted to Canada. The Special Editions will be produced in black (for the Death Trooper) and white for the storm troopers. Both include a Star Wars logo on the bumper and a plaque on the front door.
When will Canada get it? The Nissan Rogue: Rogue One Star Wars Limited Edition will hit Canadian showrooms early next year.
Should you buy it? For Star Wars aficionados, the Nissan Rogue: Rogue One Star Wars Limited Edition will be a must, if only for the helmet. Pricing was not announced at the launch.
