Sedans aren’t as popular as they once were, but Toyota is sticking to its guns and putting the finishing touches on the next-gen Avalon.
Not much else is known about the next-gen Avalon, aside from a teaser image showcasing a set of part Camry, part Audi design cues up front. It will be built off Toyota’s new TNGA platform – the same one underpinning the 2018 Camry – and will officially debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
Powertrain details are still under wraps, but Toyota usually plays it safe in this department – we wouldn’t be surprised if the 3.5-litre V6 returns, along with a hybrid variant.
We’ll have more details on the 2018 Avalon when the North American International Auto Show kicks off next month
