The Frakfurt Motor Show – officially called the Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung (IAA), but no one actually calls it that – is known for reveals of outlandish cars and high-performance vehicles, such as the BMW M635 CSi in 1983, the legendary Ferrari F40 in 1987, the original BMW 8 Series in 1989, and the Lamborghini Reventón in 2007.
This year was no different, with some exciting performance vehicles from a variety of big-name players making waves for the first time in public. Here are some highlights of the hot cars on the show floor at Frankfurt.
