The line is about to be blurred again in the world of four-door ‘coupes.’
Mercedes-AMG has dropped a single photo teaser of a four-door AMG concept, set to debut tomorrow at the Geneva Motor Show. The rendering shows a rear end similar to the AMG GT coupe, complete with a curvy rear end and similar tail lights, all of which are attached to a Porsche Panamera-like sedan body.
The photo also shows an aggressive rear diffuser with red accents, a wide single exhaust exit and absolutely massive wheels, but we can expect a lot of these cues to be toned down if it makes it into production.
Power and drivetrain specs weren’t released, but it will likely fit into AMG’s portfolio of boosted V8 engines and will be paired to some sort of hybrid electric powertrain. Given Mercedes’ penchant for creating and entering nearly every niche possible, there’s little doubt we’ll eventually seeing this one in showrooms eventually.
