The Mitsubishi Eclipse is coming back – but with a twist. And you might not like it.
Known as the Eclipse Cross, the new model will essentially be a production version of the eX Concept. That’s right – rather than return to its roots as an all-wheel-drive sports coupe, the Eclipse is now a crossover.
Exact details are still under wraps, but given Mitsubishi’s push towards electric and gasoline-hybrid powertrains, it’s likely the Eclipse Cross will be powered by some sort of plug-in hybrid powertrain.
So, there you have it. The Mitsubishi Eclipse is coming back – as a CUV, and likely as a hybrid – at the Geneva Motor Show this March.
